Illustration Friday: Cats
Cats: hissy, scratchy, garden-ruining things but always fun to draw. Click on the pic for a larger version. I've also dug out an old pic (below) - I'm not too happy with the drawing itself but I quite like some of the scenes. I think I may redo it some time. Again, click on the image to see all the detail.

Illustration Friday: E is for.....
My favourite alphabet has got to be Edward Gorey's 'The Gashlycrumb Tinies'. I love the pale, sad children who all suffer strange and unusual fates: I think the best is 'N is for Neville who died of ennui'. My version of Ernest and his fruity doom is above. There's an online version of the Tinies here. (You have to read it with Vincent Price's voice in your head for full effect.)
E is also for the Earnest hope that no one had the same idea as me.

Illustration Friday: Sea

This week's topic is a really good one as there's so many things you could choose. I was thinking of doing a lighthouse as there's always a bit of drama in that image but I remembered some really nice simple graphic images of fish from a restaurant menu (!) and it inspired these critters.
